On Oct 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 20 new cases of confirmed infections (14 imported cases, 6 in Guangdong province, 5 in Shanghai municipality and 3 in Shaanxi province; 6 indigenous cases in Shandong province), 2 new cases of suspected infections (both were imported cases in Shanghai), and no deaths. 7 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 321 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases increased by 3.

As of 24:00 on Oct 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 3,050 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 2,821 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 229 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and 5 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Oct 13, the National Health Commission had received reports of 85,611 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 80,736 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 241 confirmed cases (including 4 cases in serious condition) and 5 suspected cases. 842,832 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 8,912 were still under medical observation.

On Oct 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 18 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 16 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (all were imported cases) and 7 became confirmed cases (including 1 imported case). As of 24:00 on Oct 13, 381 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 379 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Oct 13, 5,777 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 5,201 in Hong Kong (105 had died and 4,931 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 530 in Taiwan (7 had died and 489 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
